In honor of National Pet Month, I'll be celebrating by posting a painting a day from my new Alphabet Dogs series!!
More than half of American households have a pet (about 62%) and we love our pets so much we often consider them family members. For this series I focused on dogs--did you know that about 78.2 million dogs are owned in the U.S.?? My household happens to have one of those 78.2 million dogs and he is one of the roughly 21% of dogs adopted from a
shelter.
So I begin with the letter A

Did you know that the Australian Shepherd isn't even from Australia? It's thought that they were originally from the Pyrenees Mountains somewhere between Spain and France!
